Does anyone recommed larger tires for a 1999 VFR and what brand lasts and handles good wet and dry I am thinking about the new Briggstone BT-021. I am running the Dunlop Sports now not happy.

Like oil, tires are a bit contriversial - run throught the tire threads that are listed in VFRworld. Still there is the basic physics of bigger tire, slower steering and skinnier tire quicker steering.

My 2 cents on tires are stick with the stock sizes and I like the Dunlop 208 and Qualifier for a sticky sport tire and long haul high mileage I like the Michelin Pilot Road. My past history with Bridgestone hasnt been positive. That doent mean that thier tires made today cant be better than they used to be.

Definitely DO NOT change the size of the tires. It will jack up the handling. If you're looking for a high mileage tire, I can recommend the Continental Road Attack. I've said in several threads that I think it should be the OEM on the VFR.

    KC-10 FE out...

I have the Conti Road Attacks on my bike and I think they are great. I have got at least 6500 miles on them and still a lot of tread left to go. They also stick well in the twisties. They put a little extra tread depth in the middle patch compared to the stickier Conti Sport Attack. They also got kuddos from Cycle World. L8.

BTW, stock sizes front and back.

Have you thought to try Michelin Pilot Powers, great in the Wet and dry and for Sports tyres last well, on to my 3rd set and couldn't go to lesser tyres although have thought when they wear out thought I might try the new Michelin Road II next time.
