Hey, This is probably a dumb question. I just removed the tires on my 2000 vfr and replaced them with the dunlop qualifers. Nice looking tires btw. The front tire was balanced but the rear tire was not due to a missing cone used to mount the tire on the balancing machine. The shop gave me a discount on the tires and now I have to get the rear tire balanced elswhere. The weight on the rear tire was not removed so I went ahead and reinstalled the tire and went on a check ride. I took the bike up to interstate speed and then some and noticed no vibrations. The question is should I have the tire balanced anyway? I was suprised at how much the new tires made the bike feel with the new tires.

You are probably ok, but I'd do a static balance just to check. I bought my own balancer at marcparnes.com and it seems to work pretty well. I might still take it to a shop to have it done even if I didn't have that just for the piece of mind. Do you go through tires a lot or plan on doing track days? If so, you might consider buying your own balancer...
