84 vfr1000, posted months ago on this bike, took rear valve train apart, here is what i found: cam chain appeared tight, cams look good as well as bearing surface in head, valves look ok. plastic coating on tensioner sbring hard and broken off.
what concerned me is down in the crankcase, there is a metal slipper on the forward area of the area where the cahin runs, this slipper appears to be bent over into that area at an angle, and when i pushed very litely on it with a screwdriverand it pushed down very easily like it was fatigued.
Looks like a motor pull, but any one seen this before? My thought is that a loose chain hooked the slipper and bent it. it rattles like crazy when running, but runs almost normal.
    thoughts?
