Timing chain replacement and tensioners

I need help

Honda vf 750 f 1983 68000km.

how many km can the timing chains last for ?

tensioners how often do the need replacing ?

chains and tensioners have never been replaced on my bike.

think i read some were that chains need replacement after 55000 km is this true.

Don't know where you heard that about the chain replacement. My bike had 68000 miles (110000km) and all is fine with the timing chains. The tensioners do wear out about evey 30-40k miles is my experience. The tensioners could be bad or going. Does it make rattle noises, sound like loose valves. If not all is fine.
