timing can some plz help???

    i just put in new friction plates in my 85' vf700f interceptor but when i tryed to start it, it has a hard time and wont stay running i think the timing jumped and i dont know how to adjust it or i dont know the specs of it can somone plz help thank you.

    Changing your clutch has nothing to do with timing. I highly doubt that this repair affected your timing.

    Maybe the new "thicker" friction discs may be too tight? Did you torque the fasteners properly on the basket??? Are you trying to start the bike in gear? Can you put the bike on the centerstand and start it with the rear wheel off the ground?

    it was the oil pump drive chain i did not put it on properly when the basket came loose.
