This maybe an odd question. My 86 VFR750 has 2 throttle cables. 1 goes to the left side of the carb assembly and seems to work fine. I haven't rode this bike yet so I assume it works fine. When running the motor it seems normal. The other cable goes nowhere. Was this a cruise control cable or something? Its just hanging out under the air box. I cant even see where it would have gone.

2 throttle cables connect to a bracket on the left front carb, then onto the throttle "wheel" . safest if both cables are connected. there is a pull cable and a return cable, and both should be hooked up.

be sure you have enough "freeplay" in the cables after things are connected !
