This is a pretty basic question. I bought a G2 Ergonomics throttle tamer tube, but can't figure out how to remove the throttle cable from the old tube. There's too much tension at the tube end. The shop manual just states "remove the throttle cable" but does not explain exactly how. Any help is greatly appreciated. (This used to be easier in the 70's when I had a CB350.) Thanks.
On a gen. 5, you will need to pull the left fairing, lift the tank (take out the two front bolts and it lifts up) and loosen the jamb nuts at the throttle body linkage. If you only need to pull one, then I hope it's the top (pull) one. The bottom one would be a pain. If you have other than a gen. 5, then you are on your own. Jose
I'll probably have to remove both and remove the airbox as well to get to them. Oh well...need some new specialty tools anyway. Thanks.
