I am going to buy a radar detector soon for my 2014 VFR800 and am trying to decide which style of mount to use. I hope I can see a few picture of mounts that members have on their 2014's. From what I have seem my choices are limited due to the handle bar mounting. Let's see what you have.

Although I do not have a 2014 I do have a 2001 and 2009 and both have the same mounting setup by Ram Mount.

The little metal plate has adhesive on the back of it that sticks to the bottom of the radar detector. The little cut out on the mounting plate its where the magnet is and that's what holds the detector in place.

This is a medium length extension that links the radar mounting plate to the clutch/brake mount unit.

This is what it looks like once it's all setup.

I'm still pretty happy with my Adaptiv detector and Adaptiv control mount.
