I also read on Bay Area Rider Forum that they will be hosting the same gig at Infineon during the AFM weekends in '09. That works out better for me than WS. I think I'm going to wait until the schedule comes out for '09 at Infineon and do the school. With the school, you do the school on Saturday and then actually get to race on Sunday (8 laps) (At least That's what I was reading....). I'll post more info when I get it.

Interesting... If the schedule and cost are in line I could be very interested.

The cost for a 2 day weekend, including a school on saturday, racing license, the machine, race transponder for 2 days, 2 practice sessions and a race on sunday is about $800.00. There is also a refundable $500.00 damage deposit required for the bike.

This does not include leathers, which you can rent for $50.00 a day if you don't own already. you will also have to have a back protector. An AStars protector costs about $130.00. Your helmet must be newer than 5 years old and must be Snell or DOT.

    15 * 800 = 12000

we could use our bikes and rent a track for a fraction of that cost.

I nominate you to do this Supe, find us an AMA Pro Racing caliber track that is willing to rent you a weekend (with corner workers, safety personnel and insurance) for a fraction of $12,000 and definately let me know. I'll even help you get started, give Infineon Raceway a call and ask them if they would be willing to do it. I'll even provide you the link: http://www.infineonraceway.com/raceway_info/track_rental_testing/track_rental_information/

Please post up their response. I take it you've done this before?
