Just wondering; what does your VFR sound like before its warmed up? My -93 is very grumpy and sounds more or less like a machine factory:rolleyes: At low rpms that is. When given some choke it recovers. And when I come back form a trip it sound a okey. Anything to worry about?

Thats a tough one to answer, as I'd have to hear yours. mine sounds like it does when it's warm. less the choke over run, I mean if I leave the choke on once warm it idles at 3-4K, Could be maybe, just a guess, gear drive is a tad drier oil needs to get up in the valve train, that and I've heard and experience standard dino oil vs full synthetic makes a difference. I use Amsoil FWIW, No I'm not making this into a Oil thread.

mine sounds about the same but a little faster due to enrichener as RVFR mentioned. Mine is sure a cold natured beast. I usually start it 3 times before it takes... Mine is a 98 BTW.

The sound discription is not easy I know, but it sounds a bit like its misfiring or out of time, I was wondering about the valves, but that shouldn`t go away when warm should it? Do you even run it on low rpms before its warmed up? The oil question I dont know I use motul 300V 10w-40
