Hey guys, did some reading and stuff but would now like to get some opinions and personal experience on the Power commander III or the V? Which one to go with.

The Bike is a 2006 with 15000 miles, and i am also about to order the K&N Filter

    Thank you all in advance

Now that I made a decision I am curious to see what people will say. I got the V for my 5th gen. I could not find a disadvantage in buying the V but saw the advantages of having newer computer logic, smaller footprint, the capability of Autotune.

I am re-considering getting Autotune next year as I am on a 7th gen map and my free dyno time fell through. I will have to add the oxygen sensor to my bike. I understand a dyno is better but they might need to do many more iterations from this map's starting point, and I thought the device would zone in on a lot more of the bike's range with much less effort.

I was unable to copy the available III maps and paste the results into a version V map. Still do not understand the problem so we loaded a later generation map. You of course will not have this same issue.
