I handed over the keys to my Bandit today and rode home on my new pearl black VFR. I stopped at my house for 15 minutes to adjust the brake/clutch/shifter to fit me and went for a 50 mile ride. I am not sure whether I want to raise the bars, if so not much ,but its close enough for me to ride it for a while and see. Seat comfort is as good as any stock seat I have used, seat to peg distance is fine for me and the windscreen is ok too. I don't need my helmet out of the air stream I just hate it when the air hits you right in the chin and tries to pull your helmet off. This hits about midway up and is fine. As far as ride and handling the bike seems to be everything its cracked up to be. Of course I didn't really push it but it was so stable in the turns it felt strange at first. It just takes a lean angle and holds it with no other input until you tell it to do something else. The engine of course isn't as torquey as the Bandito but pulls well enough from 3k up to be entertaining (still taking it easy on the revs) and the intake/exhaust note is unique and very intoxicating. My ride ran into darkness and I found the lights work better than any other bike I have owned. I am hoping for a long and happy relationship with my new dancing partner.

Well done amigo, a worthy choice and i'm pleased you like it. Interesting you mentioning the lights, they really are the best out there, stunning visibility at night that shames any other motorbike in my opinion.

I had a B12S 1gen so I know what you mean. Nice bikes in their own way.

Although down on torque, I found the VFR much faster in the twisties because, as you said, it handles so much better and inspires much more confidence in the rider.
