Well after 8 or 9 years of sitting in some guys garage, my 1986 VFR750 back in running order. I have owned many bikes from GSXRs to CBRs and many Harleys (I still own a Road Glide) and this bike really suprises me. I can see why this bike tore up the race circuit in 1986. I look forward to putting quite a few mile on it this year. There is one thing I'm looking for, the boots for the rear turn signal. Anyone know where to get a pair. I bought some rear ones on e-bay and they ended up being for the front signals.

nothing like putting old exotic iron back on the road. it just feels right.

at risk of sounding insensitive to the current plight of the good folks on the island of the rising sun,
the half-life of some of the mid eighties japanese indicator mounting stalks was woefully short.

Assuming that your avatar is your 750, it looks really clean. You've even got the seat cowl which is hard to come by. I've got one of these bikes too. I love the gear driven cams on this bike. Over the years, I've bought a few pairs of the turn signal stalks off eBay. They were all aftermarket and so far are holding up well. I'm not sure if Honda still has them. You could always check if you're desperate.

Yes my avatar is my bike. It has 27K miles, and I bought it off the original owner who took very good care of it. One day 8-9 years ago he just stopped riding it, and it sat in the corner of his garage. I did buy some turn signal stalks off e-bay but they ended up being the longer front stems. I'll keep looking for the shorter rear ones.

Your bike looks very nice. I had one many years ago and I put some short turn
signal "stalks" on it. I think they were from a 500. They looked much better
than the longer stock ones. Only trouble I ever had with mine was a clogged
fuel filter, so I started carrying a spare one. Good luck on your machine.

    I "had" a RC30. I sold it to a Hollywood movie director
that wanted to display it in his office with two other bikes.
It was a great bike except for overheating in traffic.
It really was designed for the track.
