Okay sorry for making a new thread but my mechanic says stuff......that i find weird...

he says that to test the gauge i will have to try to ground the sensor going to the radiator, but ive read multiple places now that this sensor on the radiator only controls the fan, and the sensor i have to ground is the one on sitting in the termostat housing. Can any confirm this ?

also another friend that has vfr said i will need to remove the gastank for that, but can do it without taking of carbs or airfilterbox... anyone ?

i made a thread here where i got told that i could remove the side panel and find the green wire to ground there with a connector on it, but im so confused now if thats the right thing to do as there is so many things i have been told now......

Temp sensor is on thermo housing, not radiator. That is fan as you suspected.

Do not have to remove the tank to get to the green wire. You can get to it by removing the right mid cowl (as I said).

Also, YOU COULD JUST REMOVE THE RIGHT COWL AND FIND OUT.

You ground the gauge, not the sensor.
