I'm not sure if I posted these pics of my modified tail.
Fairly easy if you have the hard bag setup.
I just removed the plastic fender and re-used the metal support bracket for the hard bags.
A little flat black paint and a wire tie was all it took.

    LOL!
It was a little hard to look at so I resized them.

Looks Good. Did a little "carving" myself. Used the original base and cut it off very short, sanded the edges with my dremmel. Relocated the light housing further up the shank of the fender. Used a plate bracket that I had left over from my previous bike.

That looks realy good. Must have a steady hand. Everytime I've cut the plastic fender on a bike it looks, well, like some jerk used a hack saw to do it. Plus once you cut it, you can't go back.

How do you like those Leo's? That's the system I plan to buy once I find an extra $700 laying around.

Just ordered a Puig double bubble the other day. Should be here in a week.

I don't think you can as two of the hard bag brackets mount just behind and below the stock license plate location. Look at the first pic and you'll see the bracket just behind the license mount.

I really like the Leo's. They are much louder than stock, but not obnoxiously loud. I only have about 200 miles on the bike, and have not been able to ride it like I want too yet.

I guess it would work so long as you didn't load the bags to the max.
The only thing that bracket is supporting is the inward push of the bags from the loaded weight
You could also just fab a link to go between them.
