I just went through this thought when my 750 slid off of the rear stand because it was designed for swing arm spools/sliders. 86/89 would need 6mm threaded boss welded or "affixed" (rivets?) to the lower or outer portion of the swing arm towards the axle. The swing arm is super thin so you couldn't just thread that and expect it to do anything.
I hope we are thinking of the same thing. lol

The axle is hollow. You can run all thread thru it and put 2 spool / sliders on it. I took this set up off of the F3 I picked up.

Is that what you're talking about?

Stopped for dinner after the MotoAmerica races today at The Ridge, so I might br a little fuzzy. Long, hot day.

+ 1 on the all thread. Didn't think of that. How was MotoAmerica? Can't seem to locate a listing for viewing on TV without paying. Already have MotoGP and WSBK on pay.

It was really cool. Great track. Weather was nearly perfect. Little hot, but a nice breeze.

Fox Sports was on the cameraman's vest.

I think I bought the last available in Germany 3 years ago, a fine nos part. Then a member of the german VFR-OC asked for a good slider to copy them. Finally thurn-motorsport.de reproduces them. They have a horrible website, so ask per email.

Shit.... I knew I was tired. Sorry for the detour, but I think Rogue ended up with what he wanted.
