So, I just have started to have some time to pull my bike out for the summer. As I stated in a previous thread, I was having some carb problems. It was the whole low idle ordeal, then I got busy and havnt had time to mess with it. Fast foreward to yesterday. I pulled the bike out and filled it with completely new gas and some Sea-Foam. I jump started it on our hill, and the thing ran completely fine right off the bat. I was astounded. As I putted around our neighborhood, I slowly got the choke all the way off. It ran fine for almost an hour no problems and no dying. Then all of the sudden out of nowhere, the thing started to "surge" and it felt like it was running out of power. So I grabbed a half handfull of throttle, and nothing really happened, then it started surging a little harder back to smooth speed. Then the thing ran good for 20 more minutes. Out of nowhere it started surging again, grabbed a handful again, and the thing dies. So what does this sound like to everybody. Just dirty carb jets??? I have a neighbor that is a Honda/BMW fanatic. He fixes bikes up from the 60's and 70's. He said he would help me work things out, but I need a starting point.
