I stopped in to grab some Rotella 6 and up on the top shelf, there they are, again! $2.84. With the gallon of Rotella T6, my oil change cost all of $26.02!

Do you happen to know if they're still made by the same supplier as before? Weren't they made by Champion or something like that?

The box says that their 75% made in the USA, whatever that means. Only 95% filtration down to 29 microns. Don't know if that's good or crap tho.

Saw those on my last oil change a month ago. Then thought I change oil on my bike once/twice a year, so additional $4 on a pureone is worth it to keep the engine cleaner, it says 99.9% efficient. Worth the extra money IMO.

that is not good, ST are cheap crap. a napa platinum goes for $9 on sale-uses a high tech Full synthetic filter-and can hold a lot of dirt too-also flows better,
the one I use is bigger than stock size-removed carbon canister -gave me a lot of extra room, . t6 oil does work ok , but castrol rt is made for MC and I would trust it more too.

the one thing I would question on pureone-is oil flow rate may not be that good.

Yeah, I may exchange it. The whole 95% thing is a disconcerting.

ST filters are just average barley , go with a Napa Platinum. I have bought all these three filters, you can actually see the differences. Get the best oil filter.

bosch is better, I put in 3.25 qts, know the book says 3.3 but when I add that its too much, I bet it is slightly over filled.

OEM for me. I think Honda knows the exact pressure the valve is supposed to operate at. Sure others may work but are they the right flow? Especially anything designed for cars or trucks.

I doubt that- notice the wagner blub on the plate light, sometimes Honda goes cheap. It's up to the owner to fix flaws

Agree on that. We buy a Honda but their filters aren't good enough? A tank of gas costs more than a filter by far.

It really isn't easy to change the oil filter and put 3.3 qts in without out over filling it. This oil change I got it close to perfect-maybe a tiny under filled. I put it 3.25 qts-all most perfect by the sight glass on a level road. Bare in mind there is still some oil not draining. The best oil filters that work pure 1 and napa platinum-my favorite. Seems to be a shortage of motorcycle oils that work well- I choose Castrol rt, it comes in 05-40 and 10-40 and 10-50. The fasteners suk . it took me three hour's because of the fairings, but I feel happy it was done excellent.
