well, only two made it to this weeks run, but one is enough for a ride so here's the skinny. Brian and I met up in Santa Margarita and headed out 58 East trying to meet up with guys from vfrdiscussion.com that were supposed to be coming through about the same time. After about a 30 mile run out 58 we headed back west and caught the 229 to Creston. About this time, I realized my head was itching along with my arms and I was having reflux. I pulled over and when Brian pulled up I was scratching and trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Apparently when I was eating pistachios I developed an allergy. Now, I have had them before, but only a few occasionally. So either I hadn't yet devolped the allergy or there was something unusual about these pistachios. Regardless I was seilling up and having probs. Anyway, we did the 229 because you can't miss it if you're close to it at all then we headed to Paso Robles after going through Creston. In Paso, I grabbed some hydrocortisone and Brian grabbed some Tums and the ride was on. We were running a pretty brisk pace to this point and didn't take any time for pictures. After Paso, we headed north to San Miguel and got our first pic which looks like a postcard to me. Check it out.... From San Miguel we took River Rd and headed east and then took a left on Indian Valley Rd and followed the Parkfiled signs and took the right that was Vineyard Canyon Rd. I got a couple more pics on this road, but as we were moving along we didn't stop much. Here's Brian coming up on my left.... Here's another pic a few miles down the road. I had to park for a few secs to let Brian go by so I could get the bike and the background in the same pic.... The nest pic was one I took while on the go again. I was trying to get a pic of my mirror as we were going... It's a little hard to see but if you look close, you can see Brian coming up on his VFR... After coming through the pass we made it to the San Andreas fault so we thought it was a good photo-op. We happened to cathc more touristas there so they tooka aphoto for us... After this we headed over to PArkfield for lunch. You can see pics from there from my other posts as we have taken several there. Then we headed out on Cholame Road. I got way ahead of Brian so I could get a shot of him coming around one of curves. That's about all the pics I got as we were cruising in triple digits for most of this road. We headed on back to Hwy 46 west then caught 41 west and headed all the way back to Atascadero. All in all it was an interesting trip with the hives and indigestion, but we still had a good time. I will not be riding next Sunday as I am out of town so if there is to be a ride, someone else will ahve to handle the report for you guys. I'll try and work on one for the weekend after... peace
Hey Reg nice write up thanks....but we left out the calf herding . Can you send me those pics full size so I can add them to my photos...Thanks. I too will be gone this weekend. But looking forward to next time. Ill bring a camera and try for a write up myself...Brian

Really enjoyed the pictures and the write up .... Thanks a bunch .... The mirror picture was really cool ... how did you do that?
Cattle drive... Sure thing. Ok guys, you are probably wondering what he means by claf roping. Well, just before we made it to the fault line, we were passing a cattle ranch and 4 calves were meandering around in the road. Brian threaded through them and I slowed down to try to figure out what to do. After trying to locate an owner with no success we noticed that we could herd them with the bikes. Brian would get to one side and I to the other. We would drive them towards the fence then they'd get scared and jump back through with their mothers. Yep, we herded cattle with VFRs. Now there's another use Honda probably didn't plan on. The cattle made it safely back into their pasture and it only took a few minutes detour for us.
