Is there a way to get around taking my bike to the dealer for oil changes and other misc. matinence without voiding my warranty? Forgive me, this is my first "new" bike. I don't want those pimple faced punks touching my baby! Mostly because I used to be one, and I became a mechanic by learning from my mistakes. I don't want these kids learning how to be a mechanic with my bike.
If you maintain the receipts for all the parts and consumables used for each maintenance plus keep history of the maintenance completed you will have everything you need to maintain the warranty. Best thing to do is to keep track of your maintenance in the owners manual. If you do these things Honda can not deny you warranty service.
like OKCVFR said, you're fine changing the oil.... just what kind to use? (it's a winter thread drewl... I'm going stir crazy)
