    Greetings all,

As I continue to prep my bike for summer riding, I struggle with trying to get about 10 scuff marks out of the otherwise-perfect OEM grey seat.

Here's a couple (and the red ones seem to be me picking up red paint dust and transferring it to the seat):

NOTHING I've tried seems to work.
NOTHING I've seen on other cycle forums (not even the Harley forums) works.

    :-|

Having a (cooler) grey seat is GREAT in the summer sun, but after going to all the trouble to polish up the rest of the bike, the seat is always the FIRST thing people notice...

WHAT has actually WORKED for others in this forum?

    Cheers,
    -Mark

One of my favorite cleaners is lacquer thinner, it's a great solvent, but I'd treat the seat with a leather polish afterwards.

I had reasonable success with this product: Automotive Leather & Vinyl Repair Kit

Easy to use, just mix the color up to match and paint it on. Not perfect, but for the job I was using it for it was good enough and much less noticable.

I've used an SOS pad with good results. SOS NOT BRILLO. then treat the seat after with just a little vinyl dressing.

Yup, Mr. Clean will be your friend here. I've even used them in places where I can't get degreaser and specialized cleaners to work and the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser has NEVER failed me yet.
