Im not going to make up a bunch of excuses as to why im going for the streetfighter look. My plastic on the left side got pretty beat up. I like the stock look of these bikes and if mine was in pristine condition i wouldn't think about doing this. That said here I go...

Anyone have a good solution for re-routing the coils so they aren't so visible? It looks like they need to be grounded to the frame so im not exactly sure i could just poke them behind the frame and zip-tie them up.

That build is one of my main inspirations... I saw that a couple of months back and almost shat myself. Truly amazing job. I can only hope to have a project half as successful as his. What amazes me is how succinct and tasteful that bike looks. It really looks like professionally design motorcycle.

how is your left mid fairing? That does'nt look like a stock exhaust system, no collector box there, unless my eyes are failing.

Yah it is. A buddy of mine who builds cars is going to help me route that exhaust a different direction. Either we're going to make it a left-exit or do a tail exhaust. Not sure yet. Any recommendations?

Oh left mid fairing is the one that took a hit. I think the second pic on this thread shows some of the damage. The other side has some minor marks but otherwise looks ok for 24 yo. Ill get some good pictures posted sometime soon to look at.

not a big fan of under seat exhausts for function, they look titz but roast your bum. Left exit would neat, just make sure you can use your service stand, guess you could always take the muffler off if you needed to use it.

Wana sell that left mid fairing>? The one I got is missing a chunk oot of it that rests near the frame.

Anyone done any re-routing of the two front cylinder coil packs? What have you found to be a good method to hiding them behind the frame? They are grounded to the frame so I'm sure I would have to preserve that connection somehow.

The easy thing to do is eliminate them with stick coils, say from a modern 600 or something.

    Just an idea.
