Heard this weird little pop sound today. Short 2-3 kay ride to the shops & while parking just blipping the throttle & heard this little popping sound, let the bike warm up before I took off. Not the clutch basket noise & its not a rattle, only briefly at about 1500-1700 RPM. New bike, has only 300 kay (185 mls). Bike runs like a champ & no hesitation or anything when it occurs. Does not happen at all when cold starting.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this (problem?) or it just a normal noise with the VFR?

You Aussies have it made, not only can you still get new 6th gen VFR's but you get the kick ass b&w paint scheme too............jealousy........

Yknow, as many times as I've heared people talk about flapper noise, I don't think I've ever heared mine, I wonder if it's stuck.....Imma gonna have to check mine next time I clean the filter

I actually wanted to get the Silver model, (being old & conservative), but that would have meant waiting some weeks, as they where on back order from Japan.
Never had a bike (except maybe for my red Guzz le Mans) that drew as much attention. even today at a set of lights, had some guy lean out of his truck & ask me what year model it was. To be honest I'd still be rapt in the bike even if it was bloody pink.

My 5th gen was pink (faded from red) until I crashed it and replaced the fairings...

Thanks for posting that "dogman", I always wondered what that was, but wasn't too concerned since I drove it off the showroom floor.
