ive seen many batteries that will charm the lights, but will not fire a bike.
    basically discharged to no-load potential.

does it go click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, real fast when you hit go?
if so, your starter relay is probably good, but not enough batt

temp gage- is it analog? if so, it wont move from stop unless warm

fan- is the engine hot enough to trigger fan? at least about 200F or so?
or have you tried to jump the switch and it still wont turn?

Stupid question but is the bike in neutral when you are trying to start it?

isn't there a sidestand switch that can go out and cause that, too? it seems like that happened to me on a yamaha I used to have. Nothing to do with radiator or fan, though, but the starting thing...

also I might have flipped your kill switch off when I rolled past you at a stoplight... better check...

Turns out the battery was low like you said....I am charging it right now

I guess the battery doesn't charge while the bike is idling?

No it's not like a car... I believe you have to be cruising on the bike for a good 10 minutes at least before you're going to start putting some juice back into the battery..

+1.... most of them even come with the "hardwire" pigtails you can run outside of the fairing. Makes it a simple 2-second process to plug it in when you get home.

Sounds like you have Gremlins in your garage and the previous owner did not.

Harder on that rectifier trying to charge a low battery.

Anyone know where to get more pigtails for the tender? I went into radioshack and the chick thought I was nuts. Started showing me phone cords.
