    Hey all!!

I have a 1984 750 ceptor. Right below the starter solenoid behind the right side panel in the little box there is a little piece of foil metal running between two screws. I assume this is the main fuse. Mine had a crack in it and was making it so my bike wasnt getting its full power and running like crap. I pulled this metal out and it crumbled. I also had a spare built into the cover of the box but when I went to take that one off, it crumbled as well.

Does anybody know what amp that piece of metal is? Wouldnt it be possible to hard wire a normal glass fuse in its place? Or run jumper wires to one mounted next to it?

Im just looking for a cheaper way of making it work. Can I find the OEM one? Im sure I can but at $15 for shipping, im trying to think of a different way. I need to know what size amp that piece of metal is.

    Thanks for ANY input!!
    RIDE ON!!

    devonshire PEACE
