The starter clutch I installed from a 1987 VFR did not work. My bike just back fires. The starter clutch is very specific for a 1986 VFR700 series bikes. It has two timing marks on oppisite sides of the starter clutch housing... Later model VFR starter clutches 1987 and after have multiple timing marks... The timing marks changed in 1987 with multiple timing marks when the CDI went to digital.
