    Probably oxidised

If it got a bit hot, it has probably just oxidised.

Metal polish will take it off if you dont like it.

All quality stainless steel will turn amber over time resulting from heat cycles. You can't polish it out so don't try. I think it has something to do with the alloy content which is why it's only the mid pipes that do it.

    KC-10 FE out...

    Sorry KC but your wrong
Heat causes oxidation in most metals. Starts off straw - goes to yellow, brown, purple and blue. As the temperature increases. This is only on the surfce of the metal, which is exposed to air. Applies to stainless or carbon steel, and other alloys. Which means, its only on the skin of the steel.

It will polish off, try it. if it doesnt, let me know and im a dick.

Depending on the shop they can usually order a system if they are a dealer. Check the Staintune website.... They have a list of dealers in each state. I found out my local dealer has access to them even here in Rhode Island. Back on topic, I had no idea that discoloration comes off!!!! I don't mind it on a polished pipe but its nice to know it can be taken off.... I'll try this weekend. Any reccommendations on what to use?
