A few of my fairing bolts are looking a bit rusty and I was thinking either stainless possibly titanium bolts to replace them. Titanium would go with a couple of other bits that i'm getting in t'nium (disk bolts & sprocket bolts)

Anyone know of anywhere that sells a set? (I am aware that probolt sell a set but they dont have any model specific pictures which personally i dont like)

Before you replace them you might want to try polishing them. I used a bit of 1000 grit wet sand paper and then polished them using some jewellers rouge. You might be able to find jewellers rouge at an auto parts store and the assorted buffing wheels that go with them. I was able to get a buffing wheel that I could attach to a drill (corded drill worked better as the battery on my cordless died too quickly) and I held the bolt by threading it in to a nut and using pliers to hold the nut. Hold the head of the fairing bolt against the buffing wheel until you get a nice shine.

Just a thought. Only down side to this method is you may find other parts that you might want to make shiny, like foot peg brackets, exhaust pieces, passenger grab handles, etc, etc, etc. Sorry, if I cause any undo stress about what else to polish............ My Bad

If you have a wire wheel on your bench grinder, that polishes them up real nice. Just hang on and watch the fingers
