I was replacing my thermostat last weekend. When I opened the airbox I found this  Nothing was chewed. I could clean it up.

It gets better. When I was removing thermostat housing I noticed some debris. After cleaning that up I saw this

They chewed the insulation off three wires! :chaingun: I'm in the electric business so fixing it correctly was easy but I was still pissed off.

While I was in there I removed the PAIR system and installed vacuum caps where the lines were removed. I also disconnected the flapper and installed caps there too.

I put everything back together, filled the fluids and tried starting it. I heard the fuel pump, the FI light was on (not blinking), kill switch in the on position and it turned over fine but didn't start.

I also noticed air escaping when I opened the oil cap to top off the oil. That seemed strange.

    Any ideas?

Evidence of critters, blow by in the crancase.....

I'm assuming, since you had the skills to remove the throttle bodies and repair wires, that you've already checked for spark?

Actually no, I didn't. It was late last night that I got it all back together and tried to start it. I didn't see any damage to an other wiring but I will check it tonight.

I found the problem. I forgot to reconnect the 2 wire red connector. I had tucked it out of the way while removing the throttle bodies. While I was back in there I reinstalled PAIR system and the flapper line. Time to go back into the garage and throw some new tires on today so I can ride tomorrow.
