I was in the process of installing a SpeedoHealer on my 2007 VFR using the Honda I Plug-N-Go kit, when I realized that the harness plugs do not match. The Honda I kit states that it is for a 2002 - 2006 VFR and the instructions do show step-by-step how to install it on a 6th Gen, but Honda must have changed the plugs on the 2007. The Honda I kit expects the contacts to be vertical where, on the bike, they are horizontal. Has anybody else come across this? Is it possible that the Honda II Plug-N-Go kit is now what we need for the 2007? If nobody knows, I'll call them on Monday to see what has changed and will let you all know. Thanks.

Everyone - this has been resolved.

*** If you have a 2007 VFR, you will now need to order the Honda II Plug-N-Go kit. ***

Honda has changed the speed sensor coupler.

Also, I can't say enough about the tech support that I received from SpeedoHealer. I emailed them pictures of the coupler on the '07 and within an hour, we had it all straightened out. Their responsiveness to this problem was incredible. Customer service is everything.

Hey stewart, glad to hear you got that resolved. Sounds like SpeedoHealer is a stand-up company. :thumb:

In addition, they're sending me the Honda II Plug-N-Go kit for free. I'm guessing that it is because I'm the one who made them aware of the issue, but still, I was expecting that I'd have to go back to the dealer to order the new kit myself.

I received the Honda II Plug-N-Go kit and just installed it on my bike. What you need to know if you have an '07 is that you need to configure the 4-pole connector that plugs into the SpeedoHealer as Blue/Red/Black/White.

With this kit, depending on the model of bike you have (CBR, CBF, VTX, VFR, etc.), you need to manually set the Blue and White wires. Just remember that for the '07 VFR set them as described above.

Yeah, I'm still working on it. As soon as I get it all back together then I will. I'd be much more motivated if the weather would start looking more like spring than winter. The extended forecast is showing nothing but snow and rain with a high not to exceed the low 40s. Definitely not good riding weather.

alter ego - I just got my bike back together and uploaded some images to my photo gallery. There you can see how the fender eliminator kit looks as well as the 8 mm hex bolts that I put in place of the bolts that held the passenger pegs. I think it gives it a finished look.
