Can someone help please, I recently bought a 1998 VFRfi and because its an import into the UK the speedo and the odometer/trip mileage etc reads in Kilometers. I have the chance to purchase a speedo panel complete off a 53 plate model, and would like to know if it will fit and how difficult is it to change and would I need to change anything else to convert it to MPH or is it a straight swap over.I would appreciate any feedback, Thanks Ralph.:smile:
I rather doubt the instruments on a 2003 (6th Gen) will be easy to swap over to a 1998 model. As you will see they look very different... There are loads of websites offering used Motorcycle parts. Perhaps the cheapest answer would be a stick-on plastic overlay - there are loads on sale on eBay - such as this. YAMAHA FAZER 600 SPEEDO OVERLAY KPH TO MPH | eBay Obviously you will need to do some measuring and then some maths to find one with the correct dimensions which will also put the MPH figures in the correct position.
