Soooo...how much is a clear title frame worth?

I'm about to pick up a bike that has some damage and will be broken down...I need a motor. But the frame is PRISTINE! The damn date tag is even in good shape, though a little worn around the edges. I tried to look at going rates on eBay and the only completed listings were no-sale items that the guy was asking $600 for.

Any opinions?

$600 for frame and engine sound right to me. What the engine like? Mileage......etc

 

The engine actually already has a destiny. But that project is otherwise complete, so the rest of the bike will be parted out. Mainly I'm trying to sort out what I'll be able to get out of the rest of the bike and the only thing I haven't found a solid going price for is the main frame.

 

For the frame I would not pay more than $300

 

Cool, thanks. I'll be asking a bit less than that, though...it's good to know someone thinks it's worth more than that. If I could get $200~250 shipped for the thing I would be thrilled.
