So, im pretty much new on this forum, i think this is like my 2nd or 3rd post. So hi to everybody again, glad 2 be here. I sold my first bike today. It was a 94 XR250 dual sport. I loved that bike, it was alot of fun and it never gave me any problems (gota love honda reliability), but after four years i was definitively hitting her limits and it was time to upgrade! I figure that selling her brings me that much closer to my VFR. If all goes well next week i will be the proud owner of a 2001 VFR. And i can't wait. I am very excited and just counting down the days.
Hey C_R, Hope all goes well for you on getting your VFR. They are great bikes, just don't forget that it's a bit different than the XR in terms of rider position and handling, so there will be a bit of a learning curve. When you get it, Conrats, and don't for get to post up some pics for all to see.
Welcome to VFR World Clemson! You'll really enjoy your new bike (too bad you couldn't keep the XR for some off-road fun) Have fun at Clemson, I'm an Auburn grad, so War Eagle!
Haha GO TIGERS! gota rep your school. I really wanted to keep my bike, but as a college student i only really need one, plus i needed the money, its ok though ill pick up another bike for the dirt eventually. Knight, good point you bring up with the different riding styles, i know just from sitting on it, its bigger then my XR, its kind of intimidating, so ill be sure to practice in a parking lot and back roads a little before jumpin in with traffic just to get a hang of it.
Welcome aboard! I ride an 02, and live only one county over. PM me when you get it and we can go ride.
Cool deal. Glad to "meet" you. I still remember the day I picked up my VFR. It was in March and I didn't remember to bring gloves and I had a borrowed XL white antique helmet that made me look like a Q-tip riding down the highway. My fingers were numb and my nose was running and I was problem smiling through chattering teeth all the way...
