I dunno...it all looks pretty stock and is almost 10 years old. It's also a bike that has probably sat with gas and fluids in it for 4-5 months every year... Maybe they just don't know what they really have, but that's a pretty fair price for buyer and seller, I think...

The one in Georgia on the other hand, even though it is only $600 less, that's a steal...all year rider, for sure...

The first post leaks oil and is missing a mirror. I'm guessing that bike has been ragged on or it went down. You have to do some serious neglecting, or crash, to get these engines to leak oil.

As for the second one, maybe the guy just needs to move it. He says "must sell" so he must really mean it! lol

Looks like it's missing the battery cover just below the seat, the seat cowl (maybe) and a hole in the seat. May also need chain/sprockets and tires (age - if they're original) and could be sun faded from sitting outside for the last ten years. Some pictures tell a thousand words, some cell phone pics hide a thousand words. Dating websites come to mind here!

It is all part of my strategy!

It is quite simple really. If I have a bike in the garage, it will just sit and if I want to take it out for a ride, especially a long one there will consequences. However, if I buy a bike that is a long way away from here, I can fly out and ride it home without issue because I buy it with the understanding that it will be sold for a modest profit. Of course it may not turn a profit but I don't care because I get to meet some great VFR people and I get a decent tour of the country. Riding around home isn't much fun anyway. I mean how many times can you ride to the local coffee shop really? So I watch the listings nation wide to see what is up for offer and I hope to find a diamond in the rought.

Now all this is about to change because we have family moving closer so my family won't be all alone if I decide to take a day or two for me. This next bike just may last for a while. I didn't even ride the bike I sold you last week. It represented a low point for me! I normally keep the bike for at least a year.

That latest bike listing is deleted. Apparently it sold fast or the owner realized they were underpricing or something.
