Was sunny and reasonably warm (40's) today so I went for a scoot for a few hours to see how well my heated grips hold up (very well!) to the weather. Snapped a couple pictures on the way:

I, too, snuck out for a ride. - I needed to get a new tank bag, since my old one doesn't have a pocket for my GPS to sit in, so I rode 150km in a torrential downpour, just to see how the VFR would handle it.

Results: the VFR gets blown around in the wind noticeably more than the Busa...but I still felt a lot more comfortable riding it in those conditions. It just handles and brakes so well that there was no time that I felt in danger of the front end washing out. That bike is as nimble as a Boer pony and as sure-footed as a mountain goat, even with the OEM Metzeler tires on it!

All of those old guys who raved about their VFRs were right. Thank you, Honda, thank you!

I agree with Crusty. SUbmit the photos for the calendar. Second one is a definate candidate for the cover. And Yeah Rainbow. I ride mine almost daily in torrential downpours. Now I don't have any other bike to compare this to cause this is my first ride, but I have never really felt in danger of loosing it. Well, it did hydro plane a few times at higher speeds in the rits on the freeway and the raod snakes are just a bitch when wet, but with about 70% of the 140,000 km on this bike done in the rain, you bet. It is good in the rain.

Thanks guys, didn't even think of the calendar! Probably a bit late at this point but I threw them in the submission gallery anyhow. Definitely agree Honda did a great job with a smooooth bike. Just the right balance of handling, power, and comfort. In love with it so far, had it a month and I've ticked off 600 miles on the odo!
