Hi folks. Yep, I'm the new guy. Iwas a cruiser for about 5 yrs and just got my 2006 Pearl White VFR 800 abs. I love it but it needs helibars...I'm 6'1" and have a decent reach but would still like some relief from "the lean". Anyway,I ride Bucks County in Pa. mostly with some quick hops through Jersey once in a while...the wife hates bikes, so, i ride by myself. I'd like to ride with some other bikes if anyone is around...Maybe up into the poconoes to catch the trees turning.. anyone?
Welcome Smooth1! If you don't post pics no one will believe that you have a VFR. Can be a tough crowd around here at times. Beware leaf peepers in cages, unpredictable critters they are!
Hola hombre Smoooooooooth. Glad you joined up lad....if you have not already, post up a thread about wanting to meet up with riders in your neck of the woods. I know we used to have riders in PA, but some are lurkers now, that or we have them locked up in the VFRW brig for various infractions.
Hey smooth. Welcome. I'm sans bike right now, or I'd definitely join you for that ride. I probably spent 50% of my riding time in and around the Poconos. It might not be a Tail of the Dragon, but people don't realize how awesome some of those roads are out there from Bushkill, to Shawnee and on an on. Not to mention only State Police can use radar in PA... Definitely go check out the Northeast section of the forums. I'm sure you'll find someone to hook up with. (My wife hated bikes too).
Hello Gentlemen....gotta get a picture soon! I'll hit one of my kids up for a smartphone picture. I know the Bushkill area ....209 up to 402 through Resica falls to get up the mountain. Its just been a while...Thanks for the cautions too folks. I posted in the northeast section and so far no bites, I thought maybe some Jersey guys might bite??
