Is there a "setting" somewhere I can change to keep the site from auto-matically signing me out? Or is this an "Is what it is"?
    Thank you folks,
    Jeff

Ahh that's good info but what I meant was if I've been reading a thread for what seems like less than 3 to 5 mins...while I'm typing a reply to that thread the site will automatically sign me out. Then I loose everything I've typed unless I copy it. It's kinda irritating having to log back in to post the reply.

That's strange. Is your browser set to purge cookies every few minutes as a security setting?

I just ate some cookies. Sound like it is something for do with your computer's settings vise I am not having that problem.

I dunno know. I'm a member of other forums and this site is the only one that does it. It's a bank website, if you remain "inactive" meaning not clicking on the links to change pages etc, for security reasons it will log you out. Although usually a small window will open stating 'due to inactivity you will be signed out in 20 seconds blah blah" Exactly what I'm seeing here only without anywarning. I will copy what I've just typed in case it's logged me out so I don't lose it.

does not sound normal. Doesn't happen to me. I'd have to have a page up for hours before it would tell me to reload the page.

What browser are you using and do you have another one loaded on your computer to try? Maybe try logging in to your account from another computer?

I think I found it. At the top of the logon page there is the words "log in". Next to that to the right is a little white box that was empty. I put a "check" in that and I think that got it.
