I'm sure many of you noticed that VFRworld was down for an extended period of time yesterday. The site itself was fine, but apparently our entire Web Hosting company was down, so they may have had a data center outage of some sort. As of this morning, it appears that there are still some residual issues, so you may experience some performance (slowness) problems, etc. If I hear more information from our Web Host, I will post it here. Just wanted everyone to know that we are aware of the issues and hoping they get corrected soon!

Speed is good as of 10:26 9/29. Lots of posts missing but SliverSurfer should oughta know my computer didn't fry itself. Because I didn't use the muffin fan to cool my R/R. I got one for a fiver at a used computer joint in my hood.

Some folks hate mimes. Others have to see comic book emulators whine in chat. Life just ain't fair I guess..

Yeah, it's very possible that the web host's database crashed, which would have meant they would have to roll back to an earlier version. This would result in the most recent posts missing, with unfortunately no way to recover them. The GOOD news is that this is the first time this kind of crash has happened with this web host, so that's a decent track record. Will continue to keep everyone posted, and apologies for the inconvenience on the missing posts.

What I observed was that any VFRworld.com url was redirected to an address (url) that didn't exist on that server. It was as if somebody had replaced the VFRW entry in the 'lookup' table with something else. Weird.

The fact that member.php is not working in a known issue and we are trying to resolve. Let me know if anything besides member.php is broken.
