Finally posting up a pic. I have all plastic to it but right now I'm trying To figure out what a hose goes to and how to hook up these turn Signal mirrors I got off ebay. The problem is that I don't know what to Hook the wires to. I bought the bike at a police auction and it didn't Come with mirrors. Or front turn signals. can anyone help?
If the cables for the front turn signals are still there, that's where I would run the wires and connect it.
Get a test lite, remove upper fairing, Find the wiring loom that comes from the controls with directionals, follow to the connection point, at that point there will be empty connectors or cut wires, Use test lite to figure out what wires goes where. Happy hunting, & good luck.
that hose barb is for the headlight breather, mine doesnt have didily attached to it. the turnsignal wires are on the front harness under the cowel, you will need to follow the headlight wires back to the harness and then attach new wires and connectors to the harness. thankfully they are seperated by some space, about 3 inches, so you dont have figure which is which. if your mirrors have built in turnsignals then also add the drop wires as well.
right front blinker/running light wires will be Light Blue, Green, & Light Blue with White stripe the left front wires are Orange, Green, and Orange with White stripe. The OEM setup is a running light / blinker combo. With blinker mirrors, you will use the Green wire and either the solid wire or the wire with the stripe. One will be on all the time, the other will blink intermittent. Don't remember which.
