Kickstand safety switch shit the bed.

Local dealer said the switch was $70+ and was currently on back order with no expected date listed.

    Sucks

    That is all

I've purchased quite a few times from Partzilla and so far never had any issues with them. I'd say if they have what you need and a price you like, go for it.

I'm with Karazy, except for the GoPro part. :smug: I might spend $5 or $10 bucks to fix it, but I sure wouldn't spend over that. No sense in it.

Partzilla is a great place to get parts from. Excellent service all the way around. But I'd still pass on spending that much money for the switch.

Yeah! Giving that much for a switch is tantamount to telling the manufacturer, parts supplier and dealer that you just enjoy being gouged ...

I'm gonna 3rd or 4th the bypass-ing of the offending switch. Had to do it to many a bike of mine in the past. Mainly not because of a faulty switch, but rather a less than new spring that would allow the stand to go just far enough to kill the bike, but not far enough to cause any other problems. Not fun whilst riding down the road.

Thanks guys. I like to try the local shop and I've never seen them that much different than internet pricing (excluding tires).

I do see value in having the switch installed and working. The $40 range is a bit easier to swallow and more reasonable when you look at the design/construction of the part (sealed rotating switch vs simple plunger).
