RF-1000 helmet owners: Does it bother you guys that the center pad (what your head touches) is not removable unlike the cheek pads and chin strap liners? I had an X-11 (totalled it) and all the padding was easily removable for washing. I imagine that the liner of the RF-1000 could get smelly after some time. What do you guys think, and what do you do about the stink? I'd like to get an RF-1000 instead of another X-11 because it is less expensive, has less wind noise, and is considered a great helmet. Thanks.

I guess if I went with the RF-1000, I could try using a skullcap. That would be pretty easy and I wouldn't have to mess with cleaning the liner, except for the cheek pads.

Mine RF is almost 5 years old and it's time to clean it! Checked a couple recommendations and was going to try shampoo in the shower.
