I believe this oil is very good for vfr-the clutch won't slip and this syn cost $30 a gal at Walmart. Castrol rt 05-40 is jasco ma2 which means the clutch will grab a little better about $41 a gal.

well I ran some of this shell t6 in a old tractor and it did very well, so I took a close look at it today because of its super low price. I still don't know how much zinc is it. I am doing to try it in my srt-4 tranny next. It isn't as good as the Castrol rt racing but its a close second maybe. Shell has done a poor job marketing it.:

:tongue2::rofl:I was thinking of getting some zinc additive too-might help burn out the cat that way I get better exhaust flow. Maybe add a little zinc to my tranny too. Oh cancel that idea my Napa Platinum filters too good-I wouldn't want to choke up the super flowing filter. My oil change diid ok 2qts of 10-40, 1 qt of 10-50 and a dash of 05-40 all Castrol rt-jasco M2-the highest motorcycle oil not many are rated M2 including mobil 1 that cost $11 a qt. Castrol cost me about $6 when it was on sale- I am headed to a 400,000+ VFR mile engine except that would take me 200 years.

Rotella t6 5-40 is $19.57 a Gal. at Walmart. :eagerness: The honda and Duc both seem to do fine with it, and it makes the cheap bastard in me happy.

BB didn't have a mother, he was born in a test tube that was rejected and the design was never to be used again:laser:

I was manufactured on a garage work bench. Left over used parts from a Lada restoration project.

I bet those parts were all ready worn out and all rusty, better carry a can of oil around filled with shell 05-40. the shell 05-40 is excellent for cold weather starting, I use 0-40w mobil 1 European blend in my car engine and tranny, the zero part works excellent in cold weather and the 40 is excellent in hot-too bad its no good for motorcycles. Racing Castrol RT syn may have a lot of zinc in it because mobil 1 motorcycle does. When racing is added to the name the oil company is not req to consider the cat and can add a lot of zinc and phosphorus-both very good for engines-but you can over do it-that's why I think a additive might do more harm than good, that you put in your self.
