What do you all use to clean:
    a) The Fairings (bug guts, road tar, etc.)
    b) The Wheels (Sticky whatever it is)
    c) The Tires (if anything on sidewalls, maybe shine 'em up)

Don't use anything on the sidewalls as it ends up on tread. A def NO NO. I use Honda Polish or Johnson and Johnson furniture wax. "Invisible glass" works well on all shiny surfaces, but the old Honda polish is the best. For dried on bugs I use an old washcloth with warm water and a little dish soap followed by Honda polish. I don't use water or pressure washer.

I have almost given up cause I ride in so much rain. Normal car was detergent works fine. Don't worry about putting the hose to your bike. It can handle it. You can clean the gunk off your rear rims with a little WD40 sprayed onto a soft cloth then wiped on the rims. That gunk of course is likely chain lube. Either that or brake dust. The dust will wash off with the detergent.

Mother's makes a nice metal polish that also is good for cleaning chain lube off the rear rim. Cleans up the front for that matter quite well.

And most definately NOTHING BUT SOAP AND WATER ON THE TIRES! Tire cleaners such as Simonize dries out the rubber. If you go through a set a year like I do, it is not a big issue but if you are like many and get a few years out of your skins, thenyou don't want anything oily or chemically harsh on them.

I used to chamois mine after a wash all the time but gave up on that for sure. Five minutes into a ride and the ike is dirty anyways. I would rather ride the thing than wash it.
