   I would appreciate a mechanics advice on choosing a service manual for the VFR800. There are several companies that offer them, but which is better? Should I pay the extra $$ for the Honda one? Thanks.

   I think that the Haynes manuals are very good. I have done quite a bit of work on my 1999 VFR800, and haven't had any problems. Check out their web site.
