Here's a photo of just the clutch cover itself, with the pressure plate before and after polishing.

And finally a photo with the clutch cover installed on the bike. Hope this helps.

Useless, like crotchless chaps. What's the fascination with seeing the clutch basket turning anyway ?? :uncomfortableness:

Spend your money on suspension upgrades first !

Actually I've had a friend riding beside me and he mentioned that very little oil actually obscures the view through the window. After a long ride there is a very slight film of oil stuck to the inside of the window. It does look cool though, and that after all is the reason for the upgrade. I originally saw the thread on VFRD about the clear window clutch cover and my son thought it looked really neat. When I told him that it looked neat but cost more money than I wanted to spend on a farkle, he went over my head. My son asked my wife if he and his sister (with her help of course) could get me one for a Christmas. Since my wife struggles every year to figure out what to get me for Christmas, it was a no brainer for her. It then became a family project as I had to remove the cover, send it off to Seb, and figure out what to do with the pressure plate to make it look better since it was now visible. My son and daughter got to learn about all kinds of mechanical parts, got to see the inside of the engine, ask a LOT of questions and spend a fair bit of quality time in the garage working on the bike with dear ole dad. That fact, in and of itself, was worth the cost of the clutch cover in my opinion. LOL

Happy son, happy daughter, happy wife, happy life. Any time the kids are out on a ride with me and someone asks about the window, the kids are more than excited about jumping in and telling the story.

Jerry, why so hot about Roy doing a mod to HIS bike? We get that it's not something that you would do to yours, but it's really no different than a custom paint job, doing a carbon fiber accent, fender eliminater, etc. sometimes it's just a personalization thing, and anyway, it's not detracting from any function of the bikes safety or performance. To each their own! And Roy, your welcome for the Rashed clutch cover. Guess it was kind of vain of me to waste my $200 for a new clutch cover after my low speed drop, after all, the Rashed cover was still performing it's function.
