    I'm looking for a new seat so my wife can ride with me. The bike i just bought seems to have an aftermarket single seater rear tail section. I'm wondering if the actual seat from an 86 VFR 500 will also fit my 750. Anybody know?

    I want to say yes, but I'm not 100%. I have an 84 500 I could measure for you if it'll help.

    True, but i doubt my wife would agree to give it a spot on the wall in the living room. What i need to do is find some younger soul who is enamored with the idea of the solo seat, and wishes to trade bodywork.

    Sorry, i should have mentioned it is an 86 750. Perhaps someone with the correct bodywork is interested? (might help if i post pictures of what we are talking about eh?)

    Hmmm.....I'm tearing mine down for paint right now, the only person that rides with me is my son & he doesn't like it much. I could be coersed into possibly trading body work & seat for a solo set up. Send me some pic's of yours & we'll go from there. ( 86' 700F)

    I'm currently not certian what i'm going to be doing with the bike. I haven't resolved my seat issue but the bike decided to die on me 80 miles from home on a ride yesterday. On my way now to go pick it back up and figure out whats going on.

    I just bought a Corbin seat on Ebay. I saved about $200, but you can buy them new for around $400. They also have a backrest available. I wish I would have made this upgrade years ago. It has by far been the best improvement I have made to my VFR. It is soooooo comfortable!

    I also bought a custom Corbin on eBay on my last 86 750.....looked awesome but changed my riding position so I was in serious pain after 15 minutes!! Being the vain gal I am (w/regard to my rides) I refused to take it off and just sucked it up...... :}
