Have a problem with the seat locking mechanism for a VFR 800, 03 Model. Locking seat cannot be achieved when rear seat cowel is fitted, also same problem when i fitted a woollen seat cover. Appears as though the u shaped steel bracked / shackle cannot be locked due to the additional increase in seat thickness / height. Would i have to modify bracket by cuttting out and welding the horizontal member at a lower height. Would it be true to say that the locking shackle has not been designed to allow for fitting such accessories. Regards!
