Can someone please post a couple different pics of their seat cowl? I've found one and I'm trying to determine if it's for my 1990. Are there any numbers or markings that could help?

That one looks home-made, not Honda stuff and will need paint. If it's Honda it should have some numbers molded in. Maybe pass on that one. looks designed for a gen 1 or 2.

Definitely not a 3rd Gen cowl. I agree it looks like Gen 1

Wow,....I was just looking into creating a new post with a very similar question. I have a '93 VFR750 (3rd Gen) that I want to put a rear seat cowl cover on since I always ride solo. I recently found one that's off a '95 VFR750 (4th Gen). So, my question to the fairing gurus is...will this rear seat cowl from a '95 fit on my '93? Will the tabs line up with the slots? Will it lock into place? Are the overall seat dimensions and contours the same at the rear end of the seats in a 3rd and 4th Gen VFR750? I seem to find a lot more seat cowls for 4th Gens then I do for 3rd Gens. Advice anyone?

The 3rd and 4th Gen seat cowls are not compatible with each other.

Since these 3rd Gen rear seat cowl covers are so difficult to find anywhere,......I guess I need to initiate option-2 (or Plan B). Perhaps a Craigslist Ad.....looking for an attractive female co-pilot that can mount the seat right behind me. Hymm?

Airtech Streamlining does offer an aftermarket cowl for the 3rd Gen. It is unfinished and will require prep and paint.

The cowls for the 91-93s were aftermarket items priced about $100.00. Sorry about the missing link using the generations thing. They remind me of those "begats" in the bible.. Zzzzzz.

There is no rule except for the one made up by the stocker "militia" that dictates a seat cowl has to match the bike color. If you find an OEM likely it is not in great shape. An aftermarket cowl that fits or can be fitted is like Rollin sez.

Keep in mind the OEM cowls are made to fit a stock seat.. Aftermarket seats are many times a bit wider to accommodate the wider rider or well padded pillion.
