so my sargent seat shoves my equipment into the tank...constantly...2003 v tech....with heli bars....I have an experienced guy near me to modify...going to delete forward lean...and make seat flatter...gotta take at least 1 inch foam off the butt bowl, saddle, maybe more......have any of you done this?..anybody here modded their sarg seat?...experiences?... I don't remember my '98 VFR 800 I had with helibars and a stock seat,.. being anywhere near as uncomfortable.....also...my wrists have way too much pressure on them with the new to me '03 ride... so another question.....I left the genmar 3/4 risers on with/under... the helibars!... for more bar height, but... they really don't feel that high at all... I am assuming this is correct....?. I still...have too much forward lean.. starting to think the forks are too low ????..take off the genmar risers???.....thanks in advance for informed responses...

I would not cut the sargent seat, tried that with the stock seat and it made it worst, try some tank pads, lowering blocks-maybe 3/4 inch or 1 inch. You could try a scotts damper too-takes the edge off bumps.:crushed::bull_head:

I thought the sargeant seat is supposed to increase overall comfort? Im ok with the factory seat even though it does lean forward a little bit, i think i just need to buy those TechSpec tank grip pads and im set.
