Well I have a 06 blk VFR. Looking to get a sargent seat soon. Just cant decide on the red piping or blk piping. Also not sure on the carbonFx or griptech texture. Anyone got picks of these different options.

Sargent site only has a red VFR with carbon and red pipe.

Just bought carbon/red welt. Great saddle, bitch to put on. It is what it is! Will post a few more pics if you want.

re-reading your post: if you have a black bike I would skip the welt, it won't tie into any other red.
Just bounce back if you want a few pics, I only have 10up total.

I just got my seat back from Sargent on Wednesday. Took about 6 weeks. I got a black carbon seat with white pearl welt. Looks awesome. I had a little problem getting the cowl back on. The welt was in the way. But it did go back on though. I had it lowered in the seat, and made narrow in the thigh area. It brought it down about 3/4". Its better now. Will get a photo out as soon as I can.

I thought all the seats had a welt on them. If you mean to go with black then I will. As far as the seat being tough to go on, I heard that you have to shave some excess plastic somewhere on the "U" part of the seat pan.

How does the cowl go on? Does it attach like the stock seat with the pins? How about some underside pics with and without the cowl.

You are right, they all have a welt, I meant a black one for your bike. I will post some extra pics today under my photos of just the saddle from a few angles, never put on cowling again as I want to use tailpack etc...and trouble I had on install.

Not trying to influence you on color as that is totally subjective, if you wear some red it could tie in, I just meant it could look a little random if there's no other red in your kit.

I did shave the extra plastic after help from these guys and still had to force it on, but am confident a few weeks of marrying the bike to the saddle probably fixed issue.

I posted 8 pics of the saddle. I've owned like 4 Corbins and the Carbon has not as deep divets. Its smoother.

Others could attest more to its rideability/durability as I only have 150 miles on it, but didn't think of my a$$ at all I can say.

    Hope it helps.
    Rich.
